What is a farm without chickens ? After careful consideration, countless conversations about the responsibility of more creatures to care for and finally finding a coop design that we both like, we have made the leap and are installing a tractor of hens for the front orchard.
Construction is underway on a very cute Poulet Chalet that will grace the front of the property, moving this way and that as the hungry scratchers clear out one patch after another. Farmer Kathi is already envisioning upgrades to the tractor, it's inevitable around here that the first incarnation of any project will lead to a new improved version!
